Jeff Fields – Consultant / Founder

Jeff is an accomplished law enforcement professional with over two decades of extensive experience at local and federal levels. He is recognized as a subject matter expert in Public Safety and various U.S. Department of Homeland Security (DHS) matters. Jeff has conducted highly sensitive and widely publicized internal investigations, often driven by Congressional motivation, focusing on executive-level government personnel and DHS programs.
During his tenure as a Senior Special Agent / Program Manager with DHS, Jeff handled numerous cases involving waste, fraud, abuse, employee misconduct, and criminal allegations filed against the DHS and its vast workforce of over 400,000 employees. He successfully investigated cases that involved civil rights, corrupt agents within U.S. Customs and Border Protection along the southwest border, high-ranking personnel in the U.S. Coast Guard, and United States Secret Service employees in Washington, DC.
In his recent role as a Postal Inspector (Criminal Investigator) with the U.S. Postal Inspection Service, Jeff specialized in investigating federal offenses related to fraud. He targeted business and consumer fraud, identity theft, romance scams, Jamaican and West African schemes, mail fraud, elder abuse, robbery, workplace violence, and theft. His expertise extended to managing cases in these areas.
Before joining the federal sector, Jeff served as a police officer, SWAT officer, narcotics agent, detective, and task force officer with the Drug Enforcement Administration near the southwest border. He made significant contributions to the prosecution of individuals involved in various crimes, including online child exploitation, pharmaceutical diversion by medical professionals, and organized drug trafficking.
In addition to his law enforcement career, Jeff worked as a medico-legal death investigator in both New Mexico and North Carolina, expanding his expertise in the field.
Jeff holds certifications as an active shooter response instructor from the Federal Law Enforcement Training Center (FLETC) and has received advanced training in executive protection, firearms, whistleblower/retaliation claims, and procurement fraud. He has conducted physical security assessments of facilities, notably providing analysis and ex post facto reviews of United States Secret Service response protocols at the White House as part of a Congressional inquiry.
Throughout his career, Jeff has received numerous accolades, and his investigations have garnered attention from national and international news outlets. He has shared his knowledge and insights on fraud, employee safety, workplace violence, and drug education with diverse audiences.

Jeff holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Public Safety Administration from Grand Canyon University and is recognized as a Paul Harris Fellow.
